In a world full of pollution and chemicals everywhere we turn, the last thing we need is our hair products to have chemicals and crap in them. So how do we know? There are so many websites that claim to have complete lists of who is cruelty-free and who isn’t. How do we know for sure which ones are true?
I’ve made it a point to search for products that have that leaping bunny certification on them. Suppose it’s not there, then we really can’t know. I’m not going to go out of my way to claim to be a save the tree total green kind of girl; I cant. I’m sure I have stuff that I love that isn’t clean. But when I can, I will look. It doesn’t sit very well with me knowing how they test these products. I know of a few lines for sure that are defiantly cruelty-free. I’ve put together a list for you from the Shop Style of my top brands and products that I believe genuinely do work well, and they are all Leaping Bunny certified.
First off is Living Proof: Jennifer Anniston being the Co-owner of this company, prides herself on being sustainable and holding the cruelty-free kitty title. I love the products. They have a clean smell and don’t leave behind any build-up form.
Next, we have It’s a 10: Owned by Carolyn Aronson; this is a Florida woman ran and owned company that has gone the distance to be as impressive as it can be.
- Leaping Bunny
- Comfort Cases
- Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief Efforts
- Right Action for Women (Christina Applegate’s Breast Cancer Foundation)
- Boys and Girls Club
- Children’s Diagnostics
- Red Cross America
- Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
- Selfless Love Foundation
- City of Hope
This product speaks for itself; I don’t need to say much more about it. LOL. Next, we have Bumble and Bumble: This is The Estée Lauder Company. It prides itself on, of course, being. Cruelty-free leaping bunny certified, but its most significant accomplishment is training hairstylists. It holds salons and schools all over the world.
That leaves us with Kenra: HENKEL Inc. owns its brand. Leaping Bunny and Peta certified. This brand has a fantastic blonde brightening line. If you have blonde hair and have not tried it, I recommend you do! This company has an excellent pre-blow-dry spray that cuts blow-drying time in half and an excellent leave-in spray shine conditioner.
Check out my list and deals and of course, let me know if you have any questions or need recommendations.
